Your Xero history, kept after Xero is gone.

MirrorBeans takes a complete copy of a Xero organisation — every transaction, every attachment, every report — and hands it back as a verified archive you can open in any browser, with no Xero subscription, no software and no internet.

Sign in with Google or Microsoft. Read-only access to Xero. You get a size estimate before anything is quoted.

Built for entities that are closing

The books have to survive the company. Australian record-keeping rules run to five years for tax and seven for corporate records — long after the last invoice is paid and the subscription is cancelled.

Deregistering a company

Keep every source document and a full set of statements that an accountant, auditor or the ATO can open years later.

Film & production SPVs

An SPV is born to wrap. Once the production is delivered and the offset audit is done, the archive is the substantiation — not a live Xero subscription.

Trusts, partnerships, side businesses

Any entity where paying for Xero every month just to be able to look something up no longer makes sense.

Accountants and bookkeepers

Hand a closing client one file that stands on its own, instead of a folder of PDF exports.

How it works

Nothing is pulled and nothing is charged until you have seen an estimate, accepted a quote and paid. Xero stays untouched throughout — access is read-only and you can disconnect it at any time.

  1. ConnectSign in and connect your Xero organisation. We ask for read-only access only.
  2. EstimateWe size the organisation — documents, years, attachments — using a handful of API calls.
  3. QuoteYou receive a fixed one-off quote in the portal, with the terms beside it.
  4. PayPayment is upfront. The build starts once it is received.
  5. Overnight buildThe archive is built overnight, within Xero's daily API allowance. Your estimate tells you roughly how long.
  6. Verified downloadEvery balance is checked against Xero's own trial balance. You set the password, then download.

What is in the archive

One self-contained folder that opens in a browser from a USB stick or a shared drive. No server, no Python, no internet — plain HTML that will still open in twenty years.

Every transaction

Invoices, bills, payments, bank transactions, credit notes, manual journals — each on its own page, with its history and notes.

Every attachment

Every file ever attached in Xero, plus Xero's own rendered PDF of each sales invoice, credit note, purchase order and quote.

Financial statements

Profit & loss and balance sheet by year and by month, trial balance, aged receivables and payables, tracking-category reports, and Xero's own published reports and activity statements.

Search and drill-down

Click any figure to see the transactions behind it. Filter by account, contact, tracking option or date. Export any table to CSV.

Payroll

Pay runs, payslips and employee records, with tax file numbers, bank details, dates of birth and home addresses always redacted.

A completeness certificate

A statement of exactly what was checked, what tied to Xero to the cent, and anything that did not — plus a SHA-256 manifest of every file.

Raw data and a spreadsheet

The original Xero JSON for every record, an open-format ledger, and a full Excel workbook with the statements and every transaction — no lock-in to us either.

Encrypted delivery

Delivered as an AES-256 encrypted archive with a password only you know.

Pricing

A one-off fee, sized by how much history there is. Your exact figure is shown in the portal after the estimate — before you commit to anything.

Special introductory pricing while we onboard our first clients — the figure on your quote is the one that applies, and it is fixed once you accept it.

A "document" is an invoice, bill, payment, bank transaction, credit note or journal. The years of history and the volume of attachments also affect the quote. Prices include GST.

Questions

Does anything get written to Xero?

No. We ask Xero for read-only permissions and never write anything. You can disconnect MirrorBeans from Xero's Connected Apps page at any moment.

How long does it take?

Xero limits how many requests an app can make per day, so the archive is built overnight — a small organisation is usually ready the next morning, a large one takes longer. Your estimate gives a rough number of nights, the portal shows progress, and it tells you when the archive has verified clean.

How do I know it is complete?

Every account balance is reconciled against Xero's own trial balance, every transaction is checked to balance, and every attachment Xero lists is checked against what was downloaded. The result is a completeness certificate inside the archive that states what tied and what did not — it never hides an exception behind a green tick.

Can I keep using Xero afterwards?

Yes — the archive is a copy. Cancel Xero when you are ready. If you want the archive to be the final word, cancel after you have downloaded and opened it.

What if I lose the password?

You choose the password when the archive is ready. We never see or store it and cannot recover it. Within 90 days of delivery you can set a new password from the portal and we will re-package the archive; after that the copy on our servers is deleted.

Where is my data stored?

The archive is built on infrastructure in Australia and the encrypted download is held on Cloudflare object storage for 90 days after delivery, then deleted. See the privacy policy.

Is payroll included?

Yes — pay runs, payslips and employee records, with sensitive employee fields (tax file numbers, bank accounts, dates of birth, home addresses) always redacted. There is no unredacted option.

Can I archive several organisations?

Yes. Each organisation is estimated, quoted and delivered separately. An account can hold up to five organisations.
